{WW} – Oy Vey, The Things Kids Say!

On most blogs, WW stands for Wordless Wednesday. It is a day when bloggers give the keyboard a rest and share pictures from their week.

I love sharing pictures on Wordless Wednesday. However, today on  Oy Vey a Day, WW is not about pictures. Instead, I am sharing a conversation I had with my son recently. When you read it, you will see that it is appropriate for Wordless Wednesday.

While daddy took our youngest to swim class one Saturday morning, Isaac and I went out for breakfast. I was excited to have this one-on-one time with my 4-year-old. As anyone with more than one child knows, it can be tough to find that one-on-one time with each kid.

Isaac loves waffles, so we went to our local Waffle House. Isaac ordered waffles for both of us, and as the waitress walked away to call out our order to the line cooks, here is the conversation we had:

Me: “So, Isaac, what do you want to talk about?”

Isaac: {big sigh} “Mommy, can’t we just sit here quietly until our food comes?”

He then acted out a rather entertaining fight between two spoons – until one spoon finally went to hide under a napkin.
