Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies

These salted caramel chocolate chip cookies are the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The dark brown sugar and caramel give them a nice butterscotch-like flavor. The baking powder makes them soft and chewy with a bit of crunch around the edges.

They are the perfect cookie for a cookie swap or holiday gift. They are a great treat for you or the kids. My husband, a marathon runner, is especially fond of eating them after a long training run. He is convinced they help him train, but I’m not so sure…

Oh, my! I’m not a huge fan of caramel (don’t hate it, just don’t love it), but my wife is infatuated with it. She looooves those Kraft Caramel bits and screams at me constantly to get the bag out of her face before she finishes the whole thing!!! I totally need to show her this recipe and get it going!

You have me drooling now. I am going to have to find a way to convert these to gluten free so I can eat some. Salted caramel is one of my favorite flavors.

Every year we make all kinds of Christmas cookies, but my families favorite is always the chocolate chip, not the fancy Christmasy ones! I will have to try this, it looks like a fun variation.

I love nothing more than salted caramel anything. So now I need to get dressed, drive to the store and buy everything needed to make these. My tummy thanks you.
