{(Almost) Wordless Wednesday} Llama Tourism

I just returned from the trip of a lifetime to Peru (Lima, Cuzco, MachuPicchu, Moray, Maras, Chinchero and Ollantaytambo).

The best part of it all was sharing this amazing experience with my husband, Rahn, and our wonderful friends, Amynah and Firoz.

Here is one of my favorite pictures taken at MachuPicchu. It is such an awe-inspring site, even the local llamas come to gawk.

Stay tuned for more posts about my trip in the coming weeks.

Yup – thanks to my mom and sister, this was a kid free vacation! I can just see Max taking off and going over the edge of the cliffs at MachuPicchu (YIKES). However, some day when they are older, I would love to take them. Since my knees are about 20 years older than the rest of me, I’m not sure whether or not I will be able to walk all of the stairs at MachuPicchu (and everywhere else) 10 or 15 years from now, but I sure hope that I can.

The funny thing is that it was never really on my list of places to see. I have always known it was an awe-inspiring site, but I just never had a desire to go. The decision to go was kind of spur of the moment – check out my post tomorrow to see how it happened.

I am so glad to have had this opportunity – and I am already dying to go back and see more!
